Sarah Niederbuhl, DPT
Sarah began her career working with the human body as a
licensed massage therapist. In practice for over ten years, she focused her
energy in neuromuscular and sports massage where she developed an astute sense
of touch and tissue assessment. Through her experience with massage and
witnessing the impact of psychosocial factors on recovery, she went on to
complete a bachelorís degree in psychology with an emphasis in neuroscience at
Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR. It was then a natural progression to
continue her interest in the human body and mind with a doctorate in physical
therapy, which she obtained from the University of Utah.
Sarah believes the best route to recovery is through a
patient-centered approach, where clinician and patient work together. Each
patient poses a unique recovery process, which Sarah strives to identify with a
focus in manual therapy, individualized exercise programs, patient education,
and one-on-one guidance. She is in constant pursuit of knowledge and new skills
to help her patients accomplish their goals. She could not be more thrilled
with this career choice and truly loves her work!
Originally from the Adirondack Mountains in
Upstate New York, Sarah is excited to be continuing a life out west for both
career and outdoor ambitions. In her free time Sarah is usually alpine or back country skiing, trail running, hiking or backpacking. She especially enjoys
sharing her love of the outdoors through adaptive sports and is eager to work
with local ski programs this winter.
