Bekah O'Brien, LMT

After pursuing a passion for the human body and movement for over a decade through dance, Bekah was eager to find a way to bring others into their own bodies, without the ballet shoes. Her own journey through injuries, over-use conditions, and scoliosis lead her down a path to pursue bodywork and physical therapy for healing, and knowledge. She found the depth of bodywork to be endless, the results addicting, and the exploration of the human body mind-blowing. After completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance and Arts Administration from the University of Oregon, she continued her education at the Sage School of Massage in Bend, OR.

Bekah believes that human touch through massage and other bodywork modalities is an un-tapped component in health care today. The complexity of the human being in its physical, emotional, mental and spiritual dimensions is deeply nurtured through the power of another’s intentional touch. Her goal as a massage therapist is to unlock the bodies potential to heal, grow, change and even teach. She works to combine her clinical knowledge of the human body with artistic intuition to “woo nature” into creating individual needed change.

Bekah is excited to have joined the team of skilled therapists at Hands On Physical Therapy. She can be found in the front office heading up marketing endeavors, doing tissue work for P.T. patients, as well as seeing clients for 60 and 90 minutes massages. Bekah utilizes Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, and Myofascial Release Technique to create a custom experience to nurture each client’s needs. When she is not doing massage, Bekah can be found groovin’ at African Dance class, exploring Central Oregon with her two loves (goldendoodle puppy and husband, in no particular order), or watching the horses run and the chickens graze at their Tumalo barn.
